STORMY SUNDAY MAKES FOR RAINBOW POST
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOU COMMENTS ON SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY'S POST. AS I WAS ABOUT TO REPLY TO EACH OF YOU I HEARD THE OMINOUS SOUND OF THUNDER.
I WENT AND LOOKED OUT BACK TO A BLUE SKY, AND OFF IN THE DISTANCE THAT LINE OF BLACK--ALMOST GREEN THAT GIVES US THE SHIVERS IN THE SOUTH. WE KNOW THE STILLNESS IS ABOUT TO BE FOLLOWED BY NATURES' WRATH.
SURE ENOUGH IN 15 MINUTES WE HAD A TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR AND A 62 MPH WIND GUST AT OUR BACK DOOR. THANKFULLY, THE LIGHTENING WAS VERY SPARSE AND THE STORM MOVED OVER US IN ABOUT 42 MINUTES LEAVING OUR DIRT ROAD-
AND OUR BACK YARD...
WITH THIS MUCH WATER IN 42 MINUTES!
45 MINUTES LATER IN THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOUSE- GOD GRANTED US THIS PARTING VIEW!!!
UNFORTUNATELY--YOU CAN NEVER CATCH THE ABSOLUTE GLORY OF A RAINBOW DIGITALLY--THE CAMERA JUST WILL NOT DO THE COLORS AND DEFINITION JUSTICE!
HAVE A BLESSED WEEK!
LOVE YOU ALL!
JMc
you are so RIGHT!

Very inspiring! What God makes is always the most beautiful. When you see these pictures, who could doubt God's passion? xo
ReplyDeleteCaught a picture of a rainbow over the new Charleston bridge Saturday morning. At least I hope I did, I may have messed up the settings.
ReplyDeleteThere must be some setting on the camera that would work - if only I knew what the settings did.
ReplyDeleteAt least it showed up. The rainbow. And in your pictures.
Cool.
My goodness!! I don't think we've had that much rain total in the last four months! We did have a brief storm blow through last night, but mostly wind, thunder, and lightning.
ReplyDeleteNow thats a lot of water. Thanks for a great post.
ReplyDeleteCloudia- I guess some things are just meant for the EYE and Mind!!!

I think you did very well to capture the rainbow as well as you did! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJoe-- Thanks my friend! It was amazing at how many people in Columbia posted it on FB! It seems that they are so rare anymore...and that's sad! It seemed like I saw one daily as a child in Florida!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much my friend!
