RENOVATION & RESTORATION

RENOVATION & RESTORATION
WE HAVE BEEN RENTING FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. IN THIS ECONOMY AND WITH THESE MORTGAGE RATES AND HOME PRICES WE COULD HAVE PROBABLY BOUGHT AND OR PAID FOR ONE OF OUR OWN BY NOW.

WE HAVE ALSO NOT HAD TO WORRY ABOUT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS- AND THERE HAVE BEEN QUITE A FEW OVER THE YEARS. IT IS A RELIEF WHEN YOU ARE NOT PHYSICALLY ABLE TO DO WHAT YOU USED TO COULD DO TO HAVE IT TAKEN CARE OF. IT IS THE PERFECT SIZE AND EXREMELY AFFORDABLE!

I DON'T WANT TO GET STUNG BY OVEREXTENDING MYSELF!
OR ENSNARED BY THE LIES OF OUR GOVERNMENT, ANYMORE..
THE PRICKS---THEY'LL BLEED YA TO DEATH!
THE LANDLORD IS AN ABSOLUTE JEWEL AND IS VERY ACCOMMODATING. GIVEN RECENT EVENTS, THIS HAS ALSO WORKED IN OUR FAVOR. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT OUR NATION WOULD HAVE SUFFERED SUCH AN ECONOMIC AND SPIRITUAL DOWNTURN OVER THE LAST 10-15 YEARS?

THOSE THAT KNOW MAN'S HEART AND HIS GREED BEST I SUPPOSE!!
ALL IN ALL- WITH OUR SITUATION AND HAPPENINGS ON THE HOME FRONT- FIXED INCOME, DISABILITY CONCERNS ETC...; WE ARE GOING TO ALLOW OUR LANDLORD TO DO SOME MAJOR RENOVATIONS TO THE OLD FAMILIAR PLACE AND I, FOR ONE- FEEL COMFORTABLE STAYING PUT.
I JUST WANT MY LITTLE COMFORTABLE DOWN FEATHERED NEST.......
I DON'T NEED THE SHINIEST AND THE BEST ANYMORE, NOW THAT I'M PAST THAT AGE OF JONESING!!!! (AS IN KEEPING UP WITH THE....)

I WANT TO KEEP UP WITH JOHN, WITH AS LITTLE MAINTENANCE AS POSSIBLE, AND TAKE PICTURES, BLOG, FISH AND MAYBE OCCASIONALLY GO TO A COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME!!  LISTEN TO AN IMPROMPTU VIOLIN CONCERT, OR STOP AND SMELL A FLOWER/ROSE, OR FISH!  (WELL--NOT REALLY SMELL A FISH, BUT........!

WHAT DO YOU PICTURE YOURSELF DOING TO SQUEEZE THE MOST OUT OF THIS WONDERFUL LIFE WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN?
WHAT ARE YOU DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS?
HAVE THEY CHANGED OVER THE YEARS?
GOTTEN BIGGER,  OR LESS AND MORE MANAGEABLE?
EITHER WAY YOU'RE A WINNER....

IF YOU CAN GO AND DO--
GO AND DO!!!!  YOU EARNED IT!!!!
IF YOU WANT TO KICK BACK AND STAY HOME AND ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS-- DO THAT TOO!

I JUST GOT ME A SMALLER BUCKET AND WANT FILL IT UP WITH A REASONABLE TO DO LIST !!!!
& JUST LIVE EACH DAY TO THE MAX!!!!!
HARD TO BELIEVE ONE DAY THIS TREE TOO WILL BE GONE! THE ONE THAT HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH PLEASURE PHOTOGRAPHING OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS! I'VE ALREADY SEEN IT'S SLIGHT DEMISE AT THE HAND OF NATURE HERSELF!
SEE THE MIDDLE OF THE SAME TREE COMPARED TO THE  ONE ABOVE?
DISEASE, LIGHTENING STRIKE? KIDS WITH A SAW? NO MATTER THE CAUSE....
IT TOO IS DYING SLOWLY!  I WONDER IF IT KNOWS?
OR IF IT KNOWS HOW MUCH PLEASURE IT'S GIVEN ME OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS????

LOVE YOU ALL!!!

  1. I love the photo of the flower above the camellia. Is it a lily? A daylily? Beautiful whatever it is!

  2. I just want to be well and happy - no worries about big careers moves or big money acquisitions here either.

Be well, my friend, and thank you for the beautiful photographs.

  3. I want to enjoy the little things. That to me is what life is about. Family, friends, enjoying the GREAT outdoors. I also like the peace I feel in my home, just kicking back and doing the things I enjoy.
I too do not want all the issues that can come with owning a house. I like the feeling of being able to move quickly if the mood strikes us, and it does every so often. :)
I will be praying for you. I do sincerely hope things went well at your Dr's visit.
