STUFF I'VE LEFT UNATTENDED AND IS SUFFERING

STUFF I'VE NEGLECTED & IT'S STILL ALIVE!

THE ABOVE 3 PICTURES ARE OF A MAGNOLIA TREE I DUG UP OUT OF THE WOODS. IT STARTED AS ONE LIMB AND 4 LEAVES! IT WILL GRACE OUR NEW HOME SOON!

ABOVE IS WHAT I WAS TOLD IS AN "IRISH CLOVER". IF ANYONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
EMBARRASSED BY MY ANEMIC HIBISCUS!- BUT IT DOES OVER WINTER IN THE POT! I GAVE 1/2 OF IT TO A FRIEND AND IT IS RECOVERING FROM THE DIVISION!
THIS IS WHERE THE OTHER 1/2 USED TO LIVE- BUT HERS IS ABOUT TO FLOWER THIS SPRING!

THE HOSTA THAT WAS DIVIDED AND GIVEN TO THE SAME FRIEND--HERS IS DOUBLE THE SIZE AND READY TO FLOWER.

Check out hers--this is the second year and it's now ready to flower,  and she could divide it!
I LOVE trading and passing around different plants, and the stories they hold of being "In the Family", etc!
I have always secretly wanted to run a small Nursery. But my Nipples get tired from all the kids suckling!

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PLANTS EXCEPT IT WOULD HAVE MADE GREAT FERTILIZER--BUT ALSO REMINDS ME I'M NOT ALL WUSS! I THINK I NEED ONE MORE PAIR OF GLASSES AROUND MY NECK!

ME MAN--CAPTURE AND RELEASE SHARK---BEATS CHEST!

SITS DOWN OFF CAMERA IN EXHAUSTION!- WHEEZING!

NO I'M. NOT SHOUTING--I AM JUST RETARDED WHEN IT COMES TO THE CAPS LOCK KEY!

  1. Your Irish clover is SHAMROCKS! My mom used to grow some. I had a pot for a while but it didn't make it through winter.

  2. Awesome! Thanks Jeannie!

I was sure they wouldn't make it through this winter staying exposed in that same little pot. It got down in the teens a couple of times and that's pretty dang cold for here!

  3. The Irish clover is beautiful, John. I don't think I've ever seen it before, but I am most sure it will bring you good luck for a lifetime. Yeah, that's it.
Is that shark real? That's a very impressive picture, especially since you appear quite joyful and not at all scared.

  4. By the way - hosta like damp soil so if you don't water your pots much at least put it in the ground to soak up what it can. Hostas are easy that way.

  5. Thanks Jeannie,

At least this guy gets watered if it doesn't rain--I guess that's why he made it back--I spritz it down with the hose 2 3 times a week!

But thanks because that pot can completely dry out quickly!! As you can see--it needs fertilizer and water after the division!

Robyn: I need the Luck o the Irish!

And yep, that's a real Hammerhead--the dark stain in the BACK of mu shorts gives away my happy expression- when he curled up and tried to bite me!!!

Really--they get a bad rap--he couldn't do much harm at all.

  6. Dude, don't plant that Fagnolia tree too close to your residence, those things get HEEEEUUUGGE over time !

  7. Some times things manage to thrive in spite of us...

  8. Heff, Fagnolia! Is that the genus or Feces?

Thanks Bro-- we brought one back from Sumter- my wife's home town and it was about the same size-when we moved 18 years later it was a GIANT!!! I'm so glad I erroneously planted it far enough away from the house to learn!

But thanks for the tip- I would not have know that the first time around!!!

    You da man!!

Pat-- Very true. I used to be so active, and now once again I'm starting to feel like getting out and doing! Thank goodness some things are hardy boys! (ar ar)

    Have a great one!
