POLITICALLY INCORRECT WETHERMAN

The pond the way it usually is!!!!! Quite a bit different in size yes??? It will be very very FOGGY in the morning due to the heavy rain last night-which leads me to my post!

Our weatherman made a very stupid statement tonight on our local weather.
I think it was totally insensitive and will probably land him in trouble with:
People Who's Feelings are Easily Hurt.
 or

 PWFAEH!

He stated and I quote:
THERE IS A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10:00 TOMORROW MORNING!

Now I don't know all the intricacies of fog-- the educational, or work experience requirements, but I'm sure this statement was completely uncalled for.

I mean sure,
all you may have to do is form, then hang around low lying areas, lakes and rivers, and wait for the sun to come up and burn you away. Or lift. Or whatever else Fog does.

But to call it DENSE is a bit degrading nonetheless!

Even a "SEVERE" Thunderstorm warning has a better ring to it than a "DENSE" Fog Advisory!

All I'm saying is that I hope he takes the Weathers feelings into effect, before he just labels it-  Maybe they need a sensitivity class in Meteorology School or something!

That's all I'm saying!

JMc
I'm waiting on a "HIGH" pressure system myself!  They form after numerous Bong Hits at outdoor concerts!
It's fun to go outdoors on days like that.

  2. Never met a sensitive weatherPERSON yet. They just spew out what they consider to be facts and expect every boob with a brolly to follow them.

  3. Hahahah!!
That was meant to be funny right?! :P

  4. I guess HEAVY fog would be just as damaging. A fog can't be labeled as anything but light for someone not to be upset.

  5. I suppose he could say that there is a vapor in the air making visibility difficult so all you IDIOTS be sure to drive with your lights on and go slow... :)

  7. And is it really necessary to broadcast the size of the storm? Some are very sensitive in that area...

    Cloudia,

May it never be-- Snark snark--I love LOVE Science! I once heard the hardest meteorologists job in the world was San Diego, CA-- He just records- "It'll be in the 70's and Sunny all week"--Back to you Chip!

    John

the walking man-- They need Sensitivity training I tell you-I didn't even touch on the Size issue--but some of our astute friends picked right up on it!

And how many people gather at that specific time--7:21- to hear them PROGNOSTICATE_ERRONEOUSLY and actually "STIFLING A LAUGH"- try to give a 10 day forecast- when they just said it's a fifty percent!!! 50%- 1/2 and 1/2 (That's Heavy Cream right?) chance of rain tomorrow!!!!

    John

    Perk,

THANK YOU! Yes, it was absolutely meant to be funny and I'm highly complimented in that I would be accepted in Aussie land. I saw your blog yesterday and just had to follow!! Welcome to Full-On!!!

    John!

Now that's what I'm talking about! I didn't hit on that size--er side of the Fog Bank! Well Done!! I knew I could count on you to bring Perspective to this topic!

    John

I mean--You take into account the weather when you plan your excursions--right? I do- with the fishing trips--I've found it best to go--Look up, and decide on your own!!!!!!

    John

    buffalodick,

You hit the nail on the head. If they can't even be 50% accurate, why should they begin to care about Sensitivity.

Can you imagine a Neurosurgeon-- well I think By tomorrow there is a 40% chance that graft may hold.... UH, UH, no-no-no- 2nd opinion please!!!

  11. Ah, Alice,

A different perspective altogether. Folks- this is the type of knowledge base that makes Wiked-Pedia pale in comparison!

A blanket of Snow, a sheet of ice...a Dust-ruffle of frost, a Pillow sham of....sorry--I got carried away in bed!

Can you withdraw money from a Cloud or FOG Bank? There is Sirius Radio and Cirrus Clouds. Ahhh--it never ends!

That is an awesome and Hilarious observation, that I would never have seen. Great great stuff!

  12. Haha, sorry John, But I'm afaid I don't get it. Maybe I'm a bit "dense". LOL...I am blonde. :P Well maybe you can clear the air?
Also...Just on the weatherman's side...he reads most of what he says. Its already written for him. Blame the writer, don't shoot the messenger. LOL just standing up for the under dog. But really...I don't get it.

    With Love and Blessings,
