I DIDN'T KILL ANYONE !
WELL......AT LEAST THEY ALL SURVIVED THE INITIAL VISIT TODAY!!!
I may start a Post Schedule, like many do for certain days.....but I definitely would like to share Positive Stories from our Medical Services, as we get established. I would journal them anyway--and that is what this is-- my on-line journal. It's hard for me to make and stick to a - (Strick Schedule)-
any plan! sometimes- but I may try it! Of Course due to HIPPA laws, a lot will be changed to protect the patient--but not the gist or intent of the story!

This is so NOT about Me, Us, or what we are doing, (- but I would like to Post the positives; from recipients of this care!) These folks are a humble, strong, spirited , proud group of people, below poverty level. Most of them are reticent to even take, or seek help! I'm sure we have all been, if not are, still one step away from these problems ourselves!
We also will serve as Gatekeepers to help them navigate into a system they literally know nothing about. Some are hard pressed to go about the ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) , in medicalese.
As you can see our Black Berries are coming into season. There are several patches on the walk to the mailbox- and if I play my cards right- (WHY DO WE SAY THAT TOO?- as if I can't get them, unless I win a Poker game?)
But as I was saying before my mind so rudely interrupted my self- I will be able to get probably well over a 2-3 Gallon's- of free, fresh, ready to eat Blackberries over the season.....plenty enough for a Pie- (Probably several, but they are soooo hard to resist, Fresh picked, and just popped into the Pie Hole immediately!--

Looking forward to some interesting stories. I have to wonder why there is so much resistance to public health care. I get all anxious when I read about people who can't afford care because I know that could be us (although we always managed to pay our premiums when that's the route we went - I think they should bring that particular system back)

ReplyDeleteJeannie-- it is so expensive--when I left--er was left by-- the Hospital--I lost my Insurance--the COBRA (Interim Insurance)- for my wife and I was going to be 1400.00 a MONTH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was paying say around 250 evry two weeks for Full Family and Dental.
Nobody can afford that so they just do without and become "Indigent" and let the State/County absorb the hit of any major medical catastrophes. I have many friends sweating it out right now praying something big or even medium doesn't happen.
Like me-- I'm really mensurable at 56, having had a Bypass and two stents. I understand--I'm very high risk! Nobody is gonna insure me, unless it is a large Group- and the buttholes won't let me go back to work!

I haven't heard anything in about 2 days--Is he still in pretty bad shape?
I saw a interview of Him showing off his house--it was pretty wild-he had a Motorcross track- a Killer (Bad word choice?) Pool, Go cart track-- Pretty impressive!

I never make it home with any berries. I eat as fast as I pick.
