This is part and parcel of my journey through life, as seen through my eyes, heart and mind. Scary I know!!- Hopefully this Blog will allow us to Learn & LAUGH, as well as to THINK and QUESTION: Who we are, Where we are heading and Who we are becoming- Join in on my journey?....... Or Not!
GOD BLESS AMERICA; AMERICA, BLESS GOD!
THANKS TO KAY FOR PUTTING UP THIS LINK IN THE LAST POST!!!!!!!!!! TURN IT UP AND TAKE A STEP BACK TO A CLASSIC CAR AND A CLASSIC TIME!!!!! 1966! ALSO---WIT TILL THE MIDNIGHT HOUR- WAS AWESOME THEN TOO!
The days when I was young and foolish were the best.
And Heff, my best friend in high school's dad got one of the first '65 Mustangs (4 on da floor even!). We got a lot of attention our senior year "buzzing the drive-ins" in it. All the guys wanted to talk to us. LOL
WOW John! I just love these songs! I have heard them before on movie soundtracks, but I've never really listened to them before, you know what I mean? "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" feels like a real Summer song, and I know "Hold on, I'm Coming" was on the soundtrack to one of my favourite movies, "The Blues Brothers". VBHFATP!
John -- We were a couple of Honor Society/debate team nerds who didn't get much attention and really didn't get too excited about cars but we did find the attention nice! The Kay is a nerd -- and don't you ever forget it!!!! I will confess that in my short lived "hot babe" days, I drove a 1966 383 4-barrel Plymouth. Cool, huh?
As the proud owner of a 1965 Mustang Fastback, I choose this one as my Fav.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, John!!!!
