TAG I'M IT!

(Image from Alice's post)

From Alice:  Alice in Wonderland tag!  RULES:

'Now, as with all awards and tags come with the usual conditions, and this one is to tell seven things about yourself and pass it on to seven others. I've done this many times before, so I expect that everyone knows everything about me, so I am just going to have an “Ask Me Anything” day. From Alice.

I'm posting this tonight for Tuesday's Post as I'm getting up at 4:30 am to go Fishing! OMGosh--in about 4 hours!

SEVEN THINGS ABOUT MOI!:

1. I AM GOING FISHING IN THE MORNING.  I LOVE TO FISH- & HUNT.  BUT HUNTING; I'VE ABOUT GIVEN UP ON. KILLING IS HARD FOR ME NOW. WHY ARE FISH DIFFERENT? THE LAST DEER I KILLED FOR MEAT (ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO)- I CRIED LIKE A BABY FOR 30 MINUTES AFTER I WALKED UP TO IT! I HAVEN'T HUNTED SINCE EXCEPT WITH A CAMERA!

2. I BELIEVE 100% IN GOD AND SALVATION, BUT NEVER WANT TO PUSH IT, OR IMPOSE IT ON ANYONE. (IT CHANGED MY LIFE, AND THAT IS THE EVIDENCE THAT CAUSES ME TO BELIEVE SO PASSIONATELY).

3. I LOVE BALLET!

4. I EARNED A FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SC, AND WAS ALL STATE QUARTERBACK IN FLA. IN 1972. (I SUCKED IN COLLEGE).

5. I LOVE TO TEACH. ESPECIALLY SUNDAY SCHOOL, AND NOW- MEDICINE!
I HAVE BEEN GIFTED TO EXPLAIN GOD'S WORD TO THOSE INTERESTED. IT'S NOT ME, I CAN'T TAKE CREDIT! I ALSO TAUGHT LAB CLINICAL'S, AND ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY TO NURSING TECH STUDENTS.

6. I'M SHY, AND HIDE BEHIND HUMOR.

7. I'VE RECENTLY BECOME MORE BOLD AND CONFIDENT, AND STILL HIDE BEHIND HUMOR!

I TAG ANYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THIS AWESOME THEME. I THINK THE MORE WE TAKE OFF OUR MASKS, AND LET OUR TRUE SELVES SHINE, THE MORE HONEST WE WILL BECOME, & THE BETTER LIFE WILL TREAT US! HOWEVER:

I EXPECT:

ILY,
JEANNIE,
CLOUDIA,
BD,
THE WALKING MAN
SAGE &
KAY

TO BE MAD AT ME FOR PUTTING DOWN THEIR NAMES. PLAY ONLY IF YOU WANT.

LOVE TO ALL,

JMc

  1. John I never put these things on my blog because I usually have something else up there. Thank you though.

You want 7 things about me no one knows already?

1---I am about to turn 56 if I can hang on to my cigarettes for two more years I will have smoked for 50 years.

2---If the governments of the world would get together and build a single continuous road that went all the way round the earth...I would drive it.

3---I was looking at a new vehicle yesterday, weighed the cost and decided that my 94 Honda with 286000 miles on it still got better gas mileage and was cheaper to drive and maintain.

4---I missed writing yesterday and now I feel like I am somehow behind, even though I have written almost two million words of "creative writing."

5---I enjoy editing other peoples work and will do it before I edit my own. My work bores me once it's written. Rarely do I look backwards.

6---This afternoon I am going to tutor a 5 year old in beginning literacy. I hope he doesn't argue with me like the poets I work with do. (maybe I hope he does...I haven't decided yet)

7---I have found that there is a reward to insanity, the only problem is I forgot what it was and where I put it.

  3. TWM,

That is an awesome insight into You. Thanks for the look! And I like what I see. Of course I new I would. Your writing is so awesome, that I am glad you share it by teaching and mentoring. What fortunate people. I pray they are appreciative of what they are getting!

Love the decision on the Vehicle. If that road was built I'd get a new Toyota, because I wouldn't stop!!!!!!!

It is shameful that we still have illiteracy! Thanks for helping out the village!

Isn't it odd, when you are the teacher, and students want to argue! The Disciple will NEVER know more than the teacher!
Is that not unusual with the Creative type?

    Great Response Buddy!

    Thanks,

    J

    BD,

All I can say is I Caught 12 MORE FISH to go with the last batch!!! Pfffffffffffft! Starwberry noise! LOL.

Maybe I'll Snapper a pic for ya! I've never ever done a food post!

You said Hush-puppies weren't big up North. Is that similar to the Grits scenario? What do you serve with Fried Fish up Nawth??

I have always battered and cooked them southern style- hence the Bypass--LOL!!! I really need to change diet....so,

Do you have a good recipe, or Alternative method for (preparing) Baking or Broiling Filleted Fish.

They are about 8 inches long x 4-5 inches wide, and anywhere from 1", down to 1/4 inch thick? I have about 7 Fresh fillets, and 8-10 of the same size frozen from last week. Any suggestions?

Really, to many for just the wife and I..so I'll make two full Fish dinners!

Or just Fry em' and forget em?

Looking for something different!!!! Down South!

  4. I was going to ask how many fish you caught, now I know... but what kind? Trout season opens in two weeks.

I will do this at some point, but first, to join in the conversation between you and The Walking Man, let me say that the best hushpuppies in TWM's state can usually be found in my backyard, when I'm cooking! I've even blogged about it.

  5. Sage,

I have to find that Post on Puppies!!!!! I do OK, on them but I need to improve.

The Fish are Crappie, or as we say in Fl, Speckled Perch. Same as Fishing Trip #1. One of my favorite eating fish of all time (Freshwater anyway!)

  7. Larger fish can be poached in liquid covered tightly in aluminum foil- smaller fish- nah! We call crappies that or speckled bass.. good eating out of cold water- mushy when weather warms up..
