FLY IN! FAITH & FLOWERS!

AHHHH- MY FRIENDS- REMEMBER THIS PICTURE FROM A FEW POSTS AGO? (MARCH 27TH) I HAD TO EXERCISE MY FAITH BECAUSE I HAD NOT THE BEAUTIFUL PLANT I HAD THE SUMMER BEFORE

WELL BEHOLD THE MIRACLE OF FAITH:

TAKEN JUST A WEEK LATER- AFTER SEVERAL EXTREMELY HIGH DAYS OF TEMPS IN THE UPPER 80'S
LOOK AT THE REMARKABLE BEGINNINGS OF ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SEASON WITH MY FRIEND.

SOW MY FRIENDS: AND REAP: WAIT FOR THE HARVEST!

BUT SEW CAREFULLY! FOR THIS SHALL YE REAP! AND WE DON'T WANT IT TO BE A GRIM REAPING!!!!
I HAVE THE PLEASURE TODAY TO GO TO WHAT'S CALLED A FLY-IN. FOR THOSE UNFAMILIAR IT IS WHEN A GROUP OF AIRPLANE ENTHUSIASTS FROM AN AREA GET TOGETHER AND ALL FLY IN TO A LOCAL AIRPORT. USUALLY A SMALLER AIRPORT AND NOT A LARGE CITY AIRPORT! I'M FORTUNATE BECAUSE IT IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ONE OF MY WIFE'S HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND WHO HAS A PLANE INVITED US. WHAT A DAY TO SPEND IN GLORIOUS SUNSHINE WITH HIGH CLOUDS AND A TEMP IN THE UPPER 80'S! NIRVANA!

THERE WILL BE COOKOUTS, PLANE RIDES, AND MOST OF ALL : KNOWLEDGE!!!!
ENTHUSIAST WHO FLY AND RESTORE PLANES WILL BE THERE TO SHARE THEIR PASSION WITH ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN. THERE WILL BE EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT, COMPLETE HOME BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP (PUN) AIRCRAFT, AND MY FAVORITE:
RESTORED MILITARY AIRCRAFT BACK TO CLOSE TO THE BEGINNINGS OF AVIATION WARFARE!

I SHARED THIS WITH A GREAT BLOGGER FRIEND WHO PROMPTLY TOLD ME A STOREY, ABOUT A GLIDER CLUB NEAR THEIR HOME AND THE FACT THAT THE DRAG PLANE (THAT PULLS THE GLIDERS' UP): CRASHED. HER BROTHER- WAS SCARFING UP WIRE AND BITS OF SCRAP METAL FROM THE CRASH SITE.
OH- THE PILOT DID SURVIVE SHE TOLD ME! I HAD A GREAT GRIN AT THAT!

I SLEPT WELL THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!

JUST KIDDING. I'M TOTALLY PUTTING MY FAITH IN GOD THIS GLORIOUS EASTER
WEEKEND, AND I WILL NOT BE CALLED HOME ONE SECOND BEFORE I'M SUPPOSED
TO GO HOME TO BE WITH MY FATHER!

Told you it was hot. On inside of screened in porch, not in sun!

ENJOY THE DAY!!!!!!   I WILL!

JOHN

  1. We've had some wonderful temps too - not as warm as yours but I'll take them anyway.

I'd LOVE to attend such an event. I miss flying so much.

cris-- Thanks Young Lady. I feel so sorry for you having to live in San Diego--LOL!!! Happy Easter!

BD- I was fascinated when I first saw that in the Gulf war. Imagine the technology we still Don't know about that the Military has. I'll bet those pics are cool- but I could drone on and on---- I'm sorry. I am punishing myself as we type!
