SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY 2
I HAD TO GO BACK TO PUDDLE JUMPING! IT'S APPROPRIATE SINCE IT RAINED AND WAS TOTALLY CLOUDY A COUPLE OF DAYS!
THE ROAD- HOME OF THE PUDDLES
A PUDDLE JUMPER
MAY BE A CAR OR A TRUCK
MOST LIKELY A FROG
YOU CAN'T EVEN STOMP THEM OUT!!!
THEY SEEM PRETTY TO A DEGREE, BUT THEY ARE NASTY ON YOUR CAR, AND YOUR BRAKES. HOWEVER THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IN AND THE LANDOWNER WON'T FIX!
SO WE DEAL WITH IT!
LOVE YOU ALL!
Hey! Your first photo reminds me of the one I posted today!! We're on the same wavelength at the moment. (is that scary or what?!)
ReplyDeleteLove your shots as always, John. :)
great shots john. not much you can do if that's the only way in...
ReplyDeleteKelly-- I saw that and just laughed--seriously--great minds!!! Thanks my friend!
ReplyDeleteJohn Boy
Robin-- I really don't mind so much, being a country boy at heart! Thanks as always for the visit!
John
I love driving through the puddles in my jeep! Nice photos! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou do have to drive slow through there!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, John!
Second to last one... love!
What a terrific series of shadow shots for the day, John! I love them!! The next to last one is awesome and, of course, I love stomping them, too!! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
The utility seems to be a tree, a stranger who hangs with the trees even without foliage...the puddle has a perfect perspective, it looks almost as big as a pond until the foot (ready to make a real splash) lets us know it is not too big and may be able to be traversed by a frog or a human too...
ReplyDeleteFantastic shadow shots and you have framed them nicely.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm guessing you are not the landowner? They do make some interesting photos though. Hey, your top Shadow Shot is in the same vein as Kelly's this week. Great minds...
ReplyDeleteHappy SSS.
love the sequence of puddle shots - very dreamy
ReplyDeleteJohn you captured those puddles beautifully !The reflections of the trees in them are beautiful .. this is a gorgeous place to take a quiet walk in the woods .. you are so very lucky !!
ReplyDeleteJoy : )
So enjoyed your shadowy puddle jumping shots! Even obstacles can be fun if you let them! It's all in the angle of the camera - real or otherwise! But hey! Stomping out puddles??? Sounds like a bit of melodrama happening there! But love it all!
ReplyDeleteTatjana- I always appreciate your visits and comments!
ReplyDeleteHave a super week and upcoming week.
J

Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I live in the Columbia area. We will need to meet and have a couple of beers one day.
Things are just now calming down at my house over the car issue.
I'll stop complaining about the state of our road - at least we only have to negotiate a few potholes!
ReplyDeleteBig reflective puddles - you wouldn't spoil them by driving through them surely!
ReplyDeleteRound here the council often used to claim that potholes were "traffic-calming measures".
great shots! i love the water reflections :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Soft and delightful shadows. I love the first picture contrast. I am invite you to subscribe to my "Life in Pictures" meme. Have a nice week. Greetings from Romania.

ReplyDeleteLOVE these. The fifth one, with the path winding into the woods, is magical. And I had to laugh out loud at the sixth, a puddle-stomping shadow. Great set.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots though I don't think I'd like to jump into any of these puddles as they look too deep, I can imagine me disappearing up to my neck ...... well, I'm not very tall
ReplyDeleteBB-Sounds like a winner. We are in the middle of packing to move, so after that I could use a brew or 40!
ReplyDeleteJ

Frabjous shadows John. Happy to have found your blog through SSS.
ReplyDeleteI do love the reflections! :)
ReplyDeleteI looked at that last one and thought how wonderfully funny you are but I saw the blue and (hate to admit this) wondered why someone was sitting by the puddle with a blanket on their hand. I was completely lost there for a minute. :)

John
