SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY 2
The Dragonfly below was the subject before I joined the Original Shadow Shot Sunday. Then I posted it after I joined for the Shadow in the second shot....
Now look at the second shot of this magical shadow log- "Embiggen it" if you can
and look in the shadow for the hidden Frog!
Original shot ........ Can you see the mystery guest beginning to appear in the shadows?
Now he is more visible, and I never saw him until I downloaded the pic!! SURPRISE!
Can you find the Chameleon--or is it merely a shadowy figure?
Proof he exists.....
Glassy Pond Shadow--this guy is a Camera hog!
How old am I said the Real leaf? Let me count the rings! Ahh- but how old am I in shadow years?
Sorry I could not post just one, but these are re-posts of some I did for the original Shadow Shot Sunday. I let it steep for two days due to the Saturday post Down Under. Hope you enjoy!
HAVE A BLESSED WEEK.
LOVE YOU ALL!
JMc
How old are you in shadow years? How about way back when there was no light and only darkness covered the face of the earth? :)

I like your black and white photos and the last one, too.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Yes, very interesting shadows, I love these photos in the wild. Greetings and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteWonderful and interesting shots.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting collection of shots. Just a slight shift of position and the chameleon comes clearly into view. In the first shot I would have missed those little feet if you hadn't clued us in.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! And "embiggen" I did. lol You always crack me up.
ReplyDeleteNice to get such a close of shot of such a unique creature.
ReplyDeleteDo you listen to your wife as well as you listen to me? :)
ReplyDeleteThese are SO GOOD, John! Wonderful!
The reptile waits in the shadows for dinner - however the dragonfly just knows the frog and himself will not dins together - the four-winged insect would be in the stratosphere in a second, so don't even try...
ReplyDeleteThe reptile in the trees is visible in B&W, although in color, the form would be less of itself more blended. It is nice to capture the least of beings and give them their due...nice!
What great photo's, love them
ReplyDeleteWonderful shadow collection! Adore the secret frog! And love the idea of calculating shadow years! Very clever!
ReplyDeleteThis post was fun to read and puzzle over, John!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the frog, but I did see the chameleon.
The dragonfly is either a camera hog or a camera bug. ;-)
Have a fun week shadow seeking!!
You do find the greatest shadow shots, John!! I love the frog and Chameleon -- I would have missed him, too if you hadn't given us a clue!! Hope you have a wonderful, fun weekend! Enjoy!

John you crazy guy : )
ReplyDeleteI actually saw mr. Frog before I "embiggened" him (that is too funny a word and I have a silly big grin on my face even when I type it !) ..
You have wonderful shots here .. I so love dragonflies (can you send some up here to help me out in the summer when the nasty bugs start up with me?) haha
It is fascinating watching them fly and settle on some object .. I have a couple of good shots from past years that I am proud of : )
Hey posting multiples are perfect for you because I know you must have a hard time not sharing with us ! wink wink !

Wow! What a great surprise! I had to look a few times before I could see him! Nice hiding place to ambush an unsuspecting dragonfly. As you can see, I, too, am not prone to just post one shot. Many of us do multiples. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of Shadow Shots, especially love the last one.
ReplyDeletebeauitful shots, I love the stump...
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful today - love your thoughts.
ReplyDeletegreat nature shots john...seems the frog was just looking or some lunch!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that last shot John! Thanks a lot for your beautiful contribution to Shadow Shot Sunday!

"How old am I in shadow years ..." I LOVE that! The chameleon shots are especially wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHey! Everytime you get a yuck for using "embiggen" I should get a royalty!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos John! That dragonfly is amazing...
Those are really great shots! I did not see the chameleon at first. How was his karma? ;) (OK, you can hit me now.)
ReplyDeleteI see why you couldn't pick just one shot so glad you shared all of them
ReplyDelete'shadow years' - oh man you rock! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat series of shots again.
Have a good week ahead!
These are all great shadow shots! I love the dragonfly in that first one. Dragonflies have a special meaning to me anyway, so I found ,myself gazing at it form quite some time. Good job!
ReplyDeletePeace
What great pictures...that dragonfly's beady little eyes are great in that first one....and how fun that you were really shooting two subjects after-the-fact!
ReplyDeleteLove the shadows of the leaves on the tree trunk...counting shadow rings ~ brilliant!!
What more can I say but as always great shots. I think we can safely say those tree rings say ancient.
ReplyDeleteIt can be fun finding unexpected things in our photos (although some things are better deleted!) A super collection of shadow shots - I particularly like the chameleon.
ReplyDeletelol. loved your post. Interesting with things to search for. :)
ReplyDeletenice job on the hidden frog! :) too cute. the chameleons in your next post are so cute!
