THERAPY

Subject: What a woman needs

A couple goes to a counselor after 25 years of marriage.

The counselor asks them what the problem is and the wife goes
into a tirade listing every problem they have had in the 25 years of

their marriage. She goes on and on and on...

Finally, the counselor gets up, walks around the desk, embraces
the wife and kisses her passionately.

The woman shuts up and sits quietly in a daze. The counselor turns

to the husband and says, "This is what your wife needs at least
three times a week. Can you do this?"

The husband thinks for a moment and replies, "Well, I can drop
her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish."

  1. Hi John - off topic. I will come back to read another time. I am a little down because I didn't get the job. If you want to read about it I just put a really long post over at the Independent Urologist blog. He is on by blogroll toward the bottom in my urology section.

    Thanks for your prayers. :)

  3. kaylee- soory you feel bad.

seaspray- I do want to read it and I'm going to start working on the other Blog now. I hurt for you. It's so hard to want something so badly; and we are told God desires to give us the desires of our Herat, Ask and receive etc. and then we don't get it. I know His ultimate will is best for us but it sure does hurt when we don't "Feel" -,like He came through for us!
So sorry from this end- but we will encourage one another- dust each other off- cover each other with the Blood of Jesus and yes- even cry together- Sorry young lady I genuinely am!

    Will write/blog to ya soon!

    Hurting with ya in SC,

    John

    Scarlet,

I love this type of back and forth as well. You know we really all do counsel each other in friendships and life. Sometimes I think it's easirer for us because we do have a little annonimity being online. But this is what the other blog will be like a lot- a lot of throw-out type questions-and a lot of personal situations where we help each other. Also there will be a contract to agree with on CONFIDENTIALITY!!!!!!!!! for each of us.

I think one of the main things we can do as a group online is just to be there to listen to each other- and not to ALWAYS TRY TO FIX IT. Men esp. spouses are terrible about that- our wives just want us to listen and understand and we men see it as FIX THIS- because that's what our logical mental midget type minds go to- UHHHH BROKE UHHHHH FIX ===== John ----Good!!!! Uhh huuhh... DUH?

LOL_ we will have some good tmes and some honest and heartwrenching times coming up!!!

Oh this is gonna be cool!!!!

  9. Okay, enough teasing already! When's that other blog going to be up and running?? I have some real issues I want to discuss and God knows I can't do it here! (Just kidding!...I just prefer to do it there!)

Everyone should check out John's new blog. I believe it'll be a refreshing look at God's word through the eyes of real people. What I like about John is that he's real and he's one of the good guys but not always (not always GOOD, that is...). But he is REAL. Well, maybe not 100 percent real at ALL times, but he tries to be. Right, John?

Anyway, I guess I'm not doing a good job at plugging your new blog, John. I was never good at sales, but I am good at other things and most importantly, I'm real. Or at least I try to be.

Woo-hoo! Can you believe it...16 years with THE SAME GUY?? It's great...all those knowing looks (the fear in his eyes). LOL
