REALLY, FINALLY, ABSOLUTELY FINISHED!

REALLY, FINALLY, ABSOLUTELY FINISHED!

FINISHED FLOOR!

CHEETO HEAD---AKA-- FAITH- WAKING UP!

TALK ABOUT A  CAT- A -TUDE!

SEE WHY HE'S CALLED CHEETO HEAD?  AND THE BLUE EYES MAKE HIM A DOLL BABY!
IT'S HARD TO CATCH HIS EYES- WITH A FLASH!

LOVE YOU ALL!

THEY SAY, "HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS".

I SAY, "HOME IS WHERE THE HEARTH IS!"

ANY PLACE THAT PROVIDES FOOD, SHELTER, HOPE, FAITH, AND LOVE!
FOR THERE THE HEART WILL BE ALSO!

WHERE DO YOU DEFINE, (CALL) HOME?

WHAT OTHER ELEMENTS ARE NEEDED, OR WHAT FROM ABOVE, IS NOT REQUIRED?

  1. I have wood flooring in my kitchen, too, (actually laminate in a darker tone) - I love the smooth feel of it on my bare feet in the morning.

All good things that make a place home, and I would throw in comfort.

My sister's late mother-in-law told me once that your home should be like welcoming arms when you enter it. This after I wistfully mentioned an overstuffed chair and ottoman I would like for a sitting area in my bedroom. And I got it upon that recommendation and have loved it ever since.

  2. Another fan of laminate flooring - its so much more cat friendly. And talking of cats, what a cutie but such a diva to refuse to open those eyes.
As for home? Home to me is wherever I lay my hat, sorry wherever Husband dearest and I are. Soppy I know but what the heck.

  3. I think I have multiple meanings for home. My city will always be "home" as it is my home town. I have lived elsewhere but even then considered it home. Home used to be the last place I lived with my parents but they don't live there any more. Home is generally, my house although it's not as "homey" now that the kids are gone - I'm not as attached. I hope to have a home in Belize one of these days - I feel connected already. For me, I suppose, home is MY nest. For my husband, home is wherever I am.

  5. Beautiful! Great work!

Now ...John ..will you please make the trek up north and do the same thing for my family room and re-tile the bath? I'm just sayin ..if nothing better to do? Oh and for free? hey ...nothing ventured ..nothing gained. I'll feed ya. ;)

I wish Mr SeaSpray was handy that way cause would sure save a lot of money.

Seriously John ..it is really nice. Your wife must be thrilled with it. My uro office and surg center just put down beautiful light wood flooring and maternity floor all darker flooring. Even walmart going to laminate floors. Love the cozy look.

    pretty cat.

This time of yr my nesting instinct kicks in. Cooking, candles, decorating. Since my lifelong friend just died (52 yrs - since I was 4 and she was 5), I find myself throwing myself into all kinds of cleaning and fixing - nesting ..more than ever. yesterday it was the car. had all this energy to get out and washed, scrubbed and polished. ha! if I knew how to lay down a floor ...I'd exactly be doing that! :)

I like your reflections pic. I just figured out it was backwards too. clever. :)

  6. Oh this is funny or I am just weird or it's my dark monitor ...but if you scroll screen so that only part of cat shows it looks like a hairy man with arm and chest facing your sidebar. maybe missing a nipple. perceptions. :)
