I FAILED A STRESS TEST---HOW DO YOU STUDY FOR THOSE THINGS????
MY STRESS TEST WAS WORSE THAN THE ONE I HAD LAST YEAR. AT LEAST I HAVE AN ANSWER TO THE INCREASED SYMPTOMS; CHEST PAIN, SHORTNESS OF BREATH AND DECREASED ABILITY TO WALK AS FAR. HOWEVER IT WILL DEFINITELY HELP WITH THE DISABILITY DETERMINATION!
I'M NOT GOING TO DIE ANY SOONER!! OR LATER; THAN I'M SUPPOSED TO. THANK THE LORD I DON'T HAVE TO HAVE THE OPEN HEART SURGERY. THERE IS NO INCREASED LONGEVITY FOR A 1 VESSEL BYPASS, AND THE RISK FAR OUTWEIGH ANY BENEFITS. THERE IS NO WAY TO RE-STENT IT EITHER, AS IT IS TOTALLY OCCLUDED. SO I'LL GET BY ON TWO MAIN HEART VESSELS AND THE COLLATERAL VESSELS IT' S PRODUCING AND JUST DEAL WITH THE SYMPTOMS.
IT IS BASICALLY JUST A PAIN TYPE THING (ANGINA) AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN DECREASE THAT WITH MEDICATION. A LARGER PART OF MY HEART IS DOING W/O AS MUCH OXYGEN AS IT NEEDS, BUT IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE MUSCLE DAMAGE OR DEATH TO THE MUSCLE- (HEART ATTACK).
ALL IN ALL- I WILL TAKE THIS DIAGNOSIS OVER THE ALTERNATIVE!!! DEATH!
I CAN AND WILL STILL BLOG AND TAKE PICS OUT THE WAZOO!
THOSE OUGHT TO BE INTERESTING! I CAN HEAR IT NOW--WHAT A**HOLE TOOK THOSE PICS?
OK--SO THAT'S THE SKINNY--I'LL LIVE TILL I DIE--THIS IS JUST AN INCONVENIENCE AS FAR AS PAIN AND A LITTLE DECREASED ACTIVITY , AND I WILL TAKE THAT AND LIVE AND LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!
ATTITUDE, STRESSING, OR A PITY PARTY WILL DO NOTHING POSITIVE FOR MY SITUATION!
THIS IS ALL BY DIVINE DESIGN AND I WILL MAKE THE BEST OF IT!
DID IT BUM ME OUT A LITTLE?--YES- INITIALLY, FOR A SHORT TIME. BUT THAT IS OVER WITH NOW AND IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON! SO PREPARE FOR MORE TERRIBLE PUNS AND PICTURES!
WE ALL COME ACROSS ROCKY PATHS!
WE ALL COME ACROSS ROCKY PATHS!
I APPRECIATE ALL YOUR PRAYERS, WELL WISHES AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS!
PROBABLY WILL CHILL TOMORROW AND WATCH FOOTBALL---SO I'LL SEE YOU FOR
SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY!
CLOGGED ARTERY OR FEMALE ANATOMY? HEY--I JUST TOOK THE PIC!
AND I WAS ACTUALLY TOLD TO HAVE 1 OR 2 OF THESE A DAY--IT REALLY IS SUPPOSED TO HELP? SO DAD WASN'T AN ALCHEMY- MIST! - ALL THOSE YEARS!
HE WAS HEART HEALTHY
HE WAS HEART HEALTHY
I SHALL LIVE FOR MANY MORE OF THESE!
THERE IS ALWAYS A PATCH OF SUNLIGHT ON ANY ROAD!!!!
AND SOMETHING OF BEAUTY TO BEHOLD......
THIS WILL BE THE LAST POST RE: ANY COMPLAINTS:
LIFE IS TO SHORT AND PRECIOUS FOR THAT & WE ALL HAVE OUR CROSSES TO BEAR. I MAY HAVE TO DO ONE MORE PIC OF THE FINISHED FLOORING....BECAUSE IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME.
SAD BECAUSE OUR DOG, HOPE..IS TERRIFIED TO WALK ON IT. IT IS VERY SLIPPERY.....SHE FELL 3 TIMES NOT BEING USED TO IT, AND I HOPE IF WE TRIM HER NAILS A LITTLE MORE SHE WILL GET A GRIP--AR AR! NOW THE BEAUTIFUL FLOORING IS COVERED WITH QUILTS, SHEETS AND TOWELS SO SHE CAN GO OUTSIDE!!!!!
HOW DO YOU HANDLE ADVERSITY?
DOES IT STAY WITH YOU FOR HOURS? DAYS? WEEKS?
CONTROL EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE?
THERE ARE NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWERS AS EVERY SITUATION IS SO DIFFERENT!
I CHOOSE TO BE OPTIMISTIC AND A REALIST AT THE SAME TIME--BUT ONE THING I'M NOT GONNA LET IT DO:
STEAL JOHN
OR
OR
STEAL MY JOY!
HOW ABOUT YOU?
JMc
Hang tight John!
ReplyDeleteI SHALL LIVE FOR MANY MORE OF THESE!
Amen! Along with sunsets, sunrises, cloudy days, ocean breezes, and just about everything else.
I am very sure you will live for a long long time. Gary was still working asphalt with 4 arteries blocked - getting 7% oxygen before his bypass! Maybe you aren't quite as full of hot air as he is. I'm not sure less activity is required - my physio doc is actually one of the pioneers for cardio rehab here and I know walking is a must do activity for his people. http://www.ahs.uwaterloo.ca/~jschaman/press.html
ReplyDeleteUse the nitro as required (Gary always liked the spray or the patch when it got real bad). Take your aspirin. TAKE A DOSE OF METAMUCIL DAILY TO LOWER CHOLESTEROL NATURALLY. DO IT.
Complain all you want.Sometimes life throws a curve ball and you have to throw it back. Getting it off your chest can help you deal with it.
Truthfully John, I should have been dead thirty years ago and a couple more times after that but you know what...Just have the faith that you will wake up breathing and go to bed the same way and everything else in between is another adventure.
ReplyDeleteRoll with the flow and don't let go.
Hang in there, John. We're praying and sending good wishes your way.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I SO admire your positive mental attitude!! You inspire me!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your poor pup adjusts soon. Tell her to walk SLOWLY!! We had a similar problem with a dog years ago and he adjusted in time. (not before a running slide across the floor crashed into a cherrywood table, breaking part of it!)

I shall live and not die, but proclaim the works of the Lord." Psalm 118:17
ReplyDeleteJohn - i am sorry to hear you have been going through this. I have no doubt your positive attitude and faith carries you and will carry you through these challenges.
I highly recommend this book: "10 Hours to Live"
it is one of my favorite books on healing and is an awesome *true* story. I keep it handy to keep reading the healing scriptures in the back which are God's medicine. he works through docs and medicine ...but there is still his miracle healing power.
And another book by cardiologist Chauncey Crandall (Can see him on youtube discussing it)called "Raising the Dead." I loaned to my urodoc and when saw me again said "That was a POWERFUL book! I bought FIVE of them." Also documented. I HIGHLY recommend these two books. The 10 hrs to live the way this young man beat the deadliest form of ca when he was 22 and given 10hrs to live really spoke to me. he is middle aged now. A MUST read for anyone facing sickness, surgery, etc. Remember when I was afraid to have the uro surg and still don't want it. I realize what a wrong attitude I had. Still glad I avoided it but if I am faced with anything that serious ..I am doing what he and family did in that book. i want to memorize the scriptures too. Every time I go back and read excerpts I get good things out of them.
You are in my thoughts and prayers John. :)
Ps - that aqua plant is pretty. What is it?
