QUOTABLE QUOTES & BELLY BLING-

IMPERATIVE!!!!!

YOU MUST SEE THE COMPETITION AT THE END

My Computer Crashed- I have No Idea why! It has never even Hiccuped prior to this. I had made so many customizable changes to it and now I have to try to reproduce them all. Arrrrrggggggh--- Multiple downloads and then configuring them all- At least I did burn a Disc of many of my favorite Applications so a lot of them are on that! Nice time off work eh?

And NO, Smarty butt- I didn't have a recent back-up, and YES it is my fault and I know I should! I do have a backup of all my applications- but as far as all my new pics and stuff- GONE!!!

I know--some of you are clapping because the spider is gone! And I had just pulled out a disc to burn those images too! Maybe they are still on the puter since I don't think I did a complete hard format restore of the drive! (but I'm pretty sure I did)-since I had to reconfigure Settings, fonts, firewall, desktop, favorites, IE7, ET.all, I probably did--(Yep- I was hungry. So I et it al!) I'll have to check and see.

But after installing the new Duct work (THE AC WENT OUT TOO!) at 102 degrees and a heat index of 114: I was beat. Hammer and AD and Matt- STOP laughing RIGHT NOW if you are reading this!!! The ladies in my life, I know are at least only snickering- cept Babs and she's LHAO!!!!! But one great thing came out of it!!! I didn't DIE! And with that kind of strain and at those temps- if my Thumping Gizzard handled that: well I think I'm good to go!!!

Any suggestions (I know Poopsy- don't buy a DELL-LOL) as to where my restore points or possible backups would be on the system and how to roll them back, if they did survive? Registry- file names...do a search for *.bak ??? The basic System restore option won't let me do it- but I thought maybe there is a way to go through the Registry...... Nah- belay that last comment- I can see the FLAMES now! LOL

It happened after I installed my new Printer but I don't think that did it. I changed the refresh rate on my Monitor settings and It would not let me get out of a black screen- said the refresh rate of 120 was not supported (I went 1024 x 768...I want this setting but everything is too small for these old eyes!) and that's where I stayed, until I reformatted. I tried everything-and once I went into BIOS--SYS.INI, BOOT Sector, etc! well....need I say more. This post will have to tide you over for a little bit. DO NOT MISS THE JEWELRY CONTEST THAT FOLLOWS- IT'S AWESOME!!!!! I'm not sure- but it looks an awful lot like....hmmm- Scarlet--No.....MonkeyGirl----No........I got it! That pic that was recently moved OFF a site now that she has "A MAN" in her life- LOL-- Yeppers- Dead ringer for LOVING ANNIE!!!!

DO NOT TELL ANNIE WHERE I LIVE-- I FEAR FOR MY LIFE: JUST KIDDING, MY DEAR, MY LOVE, MY SNOOKUMS, MY ORCA...I MEAN ORCHESTRA...I MEAN I'D BETTER STFU IS WHAT I MEAN--.

AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

A magazine recently ran a "Dilbert Quotes" contest. They were looking for people to submit quotes from their real-life Dilbert-type managers. These were voted the top ten quotes in corporate America:

"As of tomorrow, employees will only be able to access the building using individual security cards. Pictures will be taken next Wednesday, and employees will receive their cards in two weeks."
(This was the winning quote from Fred Dales, Microsoft Corp. in Redmond WA)

"What I need is an exact list of specific unknown problems we might encounter."
(Lykes Lines Shipping)

"E-mail is not to be used to pass on information or data. It should be used only for company business." (Accounting manager, Electric Boat Company)

"This project is so important we can't let things that are more important interfere with it." (Advertising/Marketing manager, United Parcel Service)

"Doing it right is no excuse for not meeting the schedule."
(Plant Manager, Delco Corporation)

"No one will believe you solved this problem in one day! We've been working on it for months. Now go act busy for a few weeks and I'll let you know when it's time to tell them."
(R&D supervisor, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing/3M Corp.)

Quote from the Boss: "Teamwork is a lot of people doing what I say."
Marketing executive, Citrix Corporation)

My sister passed away and her funeral was scheduled for Monday. When I told my Boss, he said she died on purpose so that I would have to miss work on the busiest day of the year. He then asked if we could change her burial to Friday. He said, "That would be better for me."
(Shipping executive, FTD Florists)

"We know that communication is a problem, but the company is not going to discuss it with the employees."
(Switching supervisor, AT&T Long Lines Division)

kaylee- Yeah, I figgured it was open Heart- specifically is it to fix valves, hole in septum, blockage? You are just so young, Young lady- I just hate that you have to go through it.

However- you sound very mature and seem to have a great grasp of what it will take to make a speedy recovery! That kind of attitude will help you recover so much faster. Will you update us as soon as you can? And remember- squeeze your little Coughing Buddy Bear- you and he will be best friends for a while and that Laughter is the greatest pain medicine on the market for long term healing! LOL!!! God Bless you kaylee!!

What do you use to draw on for strength to make it through this, and keep the fear away? An Apple- or would that be a MacIntosh- yuk yuk!! Parent(S), friends, Faith???
    Just curious.

  12. John-
20/25 in each eye, 20/20 together. Blurriness fading daily. I expect by next week I'll be 100% as long as I stay away from pictures like that one.

Totally worth it with a slight twinge once a month when I make a credit card payment.

Thanks for asking. Glad your heat-stroke inducing day didn't mess up your cath. Don't push it. I need my daily dose of corniness.
