YUCKY GREY RAINY DAY.....

YUCKY GREY RAINY DAY.....

YESTERDAY AS IT APPROACHED!

IT'S GETTING CLOSER--AT LEAST IT'S ONLY IN THE 40'S AND 60'S FOR LOWS AND HIGHS!

IT'S HEEEEERRRRREEEEEE.........

WITH FOG TO BOOT!

CHEETO-HEAD BRIGHTENED MY DAY--BUT THEN HE WILL SLEEP THE OTHER 18 HOURS!

WHAT DID YOU DO AS A CHILD WHEN STUCK INSIDE ON A YUCKY GREY RAINY DAY??

I REMEMBER TIMES WHEN IT WOULD LITERALLY RAIN FOR FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT IN FL. CABIN FEVER WAS RAMPANT IN HOMES. DO YOU REMEMBER LONG PERIODS OF RAIN THAT DON'T SEEM TO HAPPEN ANYMORE?

WE HAVE CHANGED OUR WEATHER!
WE SEEMED TO SURVIVE WITH OUR IMAGINATION, A GOOD BOOK, bored GAMES,
AND FIGHTING!!!!!

AND THEN I REMEMBERED THIS!
I SMILED, THEN LAUGHED OUT LOUD!

BUBBLES, BALLOONS, TREATS AND FUN STUFF!

THANKS TRACY- AKA- PETTY WITTER FOR THIS AWESOME COLORFUL BASKET OF FUN THAT I WON ON HER BLOG IN A CAPTION CONTEST!
THEY WERE KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE THEIR JOY FROM A PARTY WITH BLOGGER FRIENDS!

WAS THAT AN AWESOME GESTURE OR WHAT???
I AM GOING TO BE THOROUGHLY ENTERTAINED UNTIL THE BIG GAME A NOCHE!!!

SMALL RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

LOVE YOU ALL

JMc

IT'S NOT QUITE AS GREY ANYMORE!

  1. Yes, it would rain for days. If we were at "home" then no problem - we had school, could run to a friend's or just watch tv. BUT at the cottage, it was very different - we played Monopoly, Sorry, cards and I cried a lot because my brothers were such cheaters. Or we'd go out and swim or play in the rain.

  2. No better way to pass a rainy day than with a good book (she says as she sits with her laptop while it rains outside)!

  5. As a kid when it rained it was just a day for a heavier coat, nope never took to that stuck inside and get fed up with the people to bawk bawk to get a little wet. I think that was why I loved going to sea for the navy. whats a little water? I know I ain't sugar or a wicked witch so I won't melt.

  6. Every time it rains my dog howls at the thunder. He is a little puppy so it's the cutest thing ever!

  9. You can keep your wet weather BUT can I have your cat?

Would it surprise you if I was to say I spent rainy days with my nose in a book? I still do actually.

Glad you are enjoying the goodie bag.

  10. You guys are the greatest---I'm having major computer malfunctions and may have to format Hard Drive and reinstall OS! Will take a day or two to reload all programs and get back up! I'll try to post, so say a little prayer I can do a recover--a roll back has not worked! I have a corrupt or deleted .exe file.

    Love you all!

  11. I think it rains more than it used to where we live. That's a good thing though...
