  1. You are so funny. I was actually really good at algebra. Functions and calculus were my downfall.

  4. Tracy--LOL--Me too! I still don't get it--when I went back for my Nursing degree I had to take a Math refresher course! I called it Baby Math--just to take ALGEBRA again!

  5. John - I had issues with algebra, too! Fortunately we are distant memories of each other. :)

My first go 'round of college, I took both of the required math classes (which involved the dreaded algebra.) I made it out of the second one with a C. Then I didn't finish college and went back as a middle aged adult and found that they were contemplating making me take them over and not transferring the grades since the course had changed so much and now involved calculus. My adviser (also a middle aged woman) saw my panicked look and said, "Were you planning to do any math in your future career?" I shook my head no and with a click of a button, she transferred the grades from before. Thankfully.

  6. Ahahhaa! I gave my son a shirt for Christmas that has an equation on it asking you to find X. The X in the problem is circled with a note reading "here it is!".

I always preferred Geometry to Algebra.

  7. Blame it on the Arabs, they are the ones who first developed that accursed stuff.
