MIRACLE STILL HAPPEN

MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN

BACKGROUND ANGELS SINGING HALLELUIAH.....

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID--HENCE I'M NOT RICH, BUT I WAS ABLE TO RESTORE THE COMPUTER FOR THE MOMENT!

JUST IN TIME TO PAY ON-LINE BILLS!  I HAVE TO QUIT BEING SO DEPENDENT ON THIS STUPID THING!

HOWEVER, AS FOR NOW- EVEN THOUGH IT'S RUNNING SLOW AND HAS A "FEW" GLITCHES, I'M NOT GONNA MESS WITH IT TOO MUCH!

THIS IS WAY TO TRUE--STOLEN FROM E-MAIL!

LOVE YOU ALL

  1. That's funny John. :)

I depend on that billpay thing too much, too, but I sure love using it. I remember sitting down with a stack of bills, bank statement and calculator and stamps. This way - much better.

  2. It took me a while to trust the bank online but once I did - everything that could be paid online was - even if it meant a $2 or $3 service charge (parking tickets!) whatever - get er done. More trustworthy than the mail for sure.

Its actually somewhat scary for me to think how computers and the internet have become so much of the backbone for getting information and services.

A couple of years ago we lost our internet the night my son needed to do some research for a school project. He was dumbstruck when I explained we would have to quickly go to the library so he could use the encyclopedias.

We fixed that oversight by now owning a set of encyclopedias on CD's.

  4. Lynn- I totally agree. There are a couple of Envelope and stamp bills left and I hate writing them out!

Jeannie--I was probably too trusting initially- but I run Firewalls, Virus scans etc each week. I know that won't stop anyone who REALLY wants your identity-but I trust it.

BB-- Old school is still a great and needed backup!!! I mentioned the other day about computers going down in stores, or a power outage and no one can do hand held calculations--keep inventory, etc!!!!

    Good example Buddy!

  8. The on line bill pay is a no brainer, easier faster and you never forget what your real balance is... but that alphabet is word code 2.0 to keep the aged out of their conversations.

  10. You know, it's not just the bills. EVERYTHING seems to be internet dependent these days. When the power goes out, we are up poop creek without a poople, er uhm a paddle.
