RETURN TO SNOW AND ICE
Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post before the Fl trip!!!
Just like I thought: I left Fl. and returned to Snow and Sleet! However--it started Sleeting In Ocala before I left at 11:00 am today--VERY RARE-and VERY BRIEF!!!! It started Sleeting & Snowing IMMEDIATELY after I crossed the SC Border from Georgia, and Snowed on me all the way home! What an awesome trip!
DURFEE: You Ass! Lol!!! YOU CALLED IT BRO!
I will catch up with everyone this week, as it's, brr.. cold again--
I SAY THAT TO SAY THIS:
MANY, HAVE IT MUCH WORSE. WHAT IS AN INCONVENIENCE AT MOST TO US- CAN BE, AND IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH TO SOME! A FEW BY CHOICE--MOST BY CIRCUMSTANCE !!
Please remember our Homeless- AFTER the holidays, with blankets, coats, money etc, if possible....! Just a plug, as we sweep them under the rug about 360 days a year!! Outta sight- outta mind, right?
I have picked up the DEAD, STIFF Frozen bodies from Store-Front doorways in Columbia SC!! (I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE THE NORTH, or NORTH EAST, RIGHT NOW!)
Hard to believe that happens here, with our relatively mild winters, but this Winter has hit every area & Many COUNTRIES- EARLY, AND EXTRA HARD THIS YEAR!

Holding a Dead person in your hands, who died needlessly from Exposure to the cold--is: WELL......COLD!!!!!! No pun intended!!
That's why I no longer Patrol the Streets!
That's why I no longer Patrol the Streets!
DID YOU ACTUALLY THINK THERE WOULD BE NOT ONE PIC??
WHAT IS IT??? LOOK CLOSELY!!! (and study!!!)
I FIRST DID THIS AFTER COLLEGE, IN OUR APARTMENT --FOR 4 YEARS. IT WAS IN A POT, WITH GREEN FOIL AROUND IT AND WAS A BETTER "BRANCH". I did this one on the fly, on the way into the cabin!
PEOPLE WOULD JUST WALK OVER AND STARE AT IT...AND FINALLY, THEY HAD TO ASK!!!!
YES, MY FRIENDS...IT IS:
A CARTRIDGE IN A BEAR TREE!
"I don't care who you are...that's funny right there...."
Larry the Cable Guy!
I HAVE AN AWESOME CHRISTMAS STORY--AND YES!!! PLENTY OF PICS OF NATURE'S BEAUTY IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER!
JMc
welcome back and glad your safe... as a southerner who has lived for a quarter century in snow country, the one thing I'm always thankful for when it snows is that I don't have to share the highway with a bunch of Johnny Rebs!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious - you got me!
ReplyDeleteWow John, I can't imagine picking up people who froze to death. It breaks my heart that we have so many homeless people in a country as rich as ours. Mr. RK's mom made some rude comments about street people on Christmas and I just wanted to throttle her.
The best thing for them in doorways who are still alive are SOCKS, warm, dry socks. Then gloves and hats.
ReplyDeleteI think it best to not comment on your punny picture.
Well blame me if you must but I was trying for this snow in the east to hit DC before the fools all left town.
Glad you made it back from Ocala. I walked that forest from one end to other. But like your Christmas story that is a tale told on another day at another time.
A bear or bare tree?
ReplyDeleteIt's a good one. If I had a cartridge, I'd give it to my non-decorating daughter.
A cartridge in a bear tree Ha Ha that is great!!
ReplyDeleteYes Sir our homeless are swept under the rug all year long and a blanket, coat, pair of gloves, anything like this will help some, it is sad that we have so many people doing without while others are wasting so much.
sage-- it was Sad, Scary and funny- all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteJ
Mark: Can't wait till we can meet! I want to hear all your tales!
John
Jeannie--LOL--but this is a BARE tree! I screwed up my OWN joke as I had taken pics...well--I'll save that for an upcoming post!! LOL! Stay warm Girl!!
I'll catch up on your last Christmas post soon!
John

Great Heart my friend,

RiotKitty-- I can kinda understand about the comments, as it's some peoples way of dealing with the situation. But sadly--to some that's the way they think!
Glad I got ya--sorry you had to Bite the Bullet on that one!
John
Oh that is sooo funny! I thought it was some type of a bong...
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it home safely!
