I'M THANKFUL I DON'T HAVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND CAN SELL IT!- OR GET IT TOWED AWAY FOR FREE AND GIVE IT TO THE KIDNEY FOUNDATION. THEY PICK UP USED CARS- (YES-IT STILL RUNS) AND SELLS THEM TO HELP PEOPLE WITH DIALYSIS!

What a tragedy, huh? My dad was with me when I saw the news and he said (in Spanish), "See, you can never trust a psychiatrist!" Ay Dios Mio! Long story there...and I may blog about it soon.

ReplyDeleteSuch a tragedy. When you think about it, it's strange that there aren't a lot more soldiers that get wigged out and start shooting - with the access to guns and such. But a psychiatrist? You'd think he'd just drop a valium or 5 to calm down.

ReplyDeletePsychiatrists and Dentists traditionally have a higher suicide rate than other professions. (Dentists- I think is the Nitrous they are always exposed to!) The fact that bothers me, is this Dr. had cleared out his locker (basically got his affairs in order) and that is one of the RED flags about anyone who may be contemplating suicide.
What I will never understand is WHY he/she would want to do harm to "Innocent bystanders". If he cleaned out his locker etc, he certainly had this premeditated and did not just "Snap". This is such a cruel calculating world, and anyone can get caught in Random acts of someone else's psyche. That's why it's so important to plan for the future, but live every day like it's your last.
NO REGRETS is what I would like as my epitaph. As Jeannie says- Stay Positive! Which I am after applying for a Recruiters job on-line (Human resources) but they have to give it a fancy name now! LOL. It's what I changed my major from in school!!
I think I would be a good fit for this position as I honestly care about people! I love to try to find the best in everyone! I would love to meet your Papi! He would be fascinating to talk to.

I agree- He was facing deployment, but the Army trained him and invested a lot to give him the opportunity to be a Doctor. He knew what he had signed up for. But you are so right...it's amazing that there aren't more, and more frequent "wig outs" to boot! If I killed someone- even for "God and Country" I would still have a hard time reconciling that in my mind!
All I can say is God bless all those who did die & fight to keep us free!
