Wanted: HELP FROM ANYONE. Is there a good counter or service, like Sitemeter, or StatCounter you can go to for free to track the very basics. I'm not all into numbers, but I do like to know what reaches an audience and what does not as I grow. Also, what's up with readers, Twitter etc. Is there an article or site I can go to to summarize all this stuff. I've subscribed to several, but I'm not quite sure what linking to a blog means etc. I just need a basic workshop is all. I can't even tell how my site looks as I use Mozilla exclusively, and most everyone Uses IE. Is there anything I need to change format wise or can you read it?

I'm also trying, (even with school) to keep Shhh....God's Talking, at least up and open.
I'm so sorry I haven't been around as much, I PROMISE I'M THERE, it's just hard to comment sometimes due to time constraints due to the two on-line classes. I'm not whining cuz I want to finish my BS (which I'm full of) degree, but it does as you know require time. That's why part of this question on help is about RSS feeds or readers etc., so I can make it as streamlined as possible. With the readers I miss actually physically going to the blog as I'm afraid I'll miss some pictures or something, and I dearly love Commenting!

ReplyDeletebloggers new link list thingy - that I have now - is also a feed - it updates with the most recent at the top - when the links are clicked they go to the site rather than a feed so commenting is easier.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where you access that now as I clicked on it when they were promoting it.
I have a couple of counters on mine - sitemeter created a problem for it so I took it off. I suppose I should stick the code back in again now as the problem has been corrected.
You look fine in IE. Sometimes I use Mozilla - not as much because I don't have my favourites in there and can't be bothered setting them up again.
So, where's the acceptance speech for your award? I so want to hear it. ;)

ReplyDeleteJeannie- I hope I can follow the technical jargon of the BNLLT- Bloggers' New Link List Thingy. I may have to get Bloggers' New Link List Thingy for Dummies! LMAO!!!. Seriously, I can probably find it in Boggers Archives. I do like the way that shows up and reads in the sidebar! I noticed several blogs all had in within one week- but I didn't know where it came from.

Oh acceptance speech- Id like to thank all the little third and fourth graders that I made cry about their stupid Blogs on Frogs and Insects and stuff. I stepped all over them to get to where I am, and I've already forgotten all you little people!
