TIME: PLEASE SEE YESTERDAY'S POST

TAKEN EXACTLY WHEN POST WAS BEING DONE:

IN REAL TIME

PLEASE SEE YESTERDAY'S POST AND COMMENTS. I'D LOVE TO HAVE SOME MORE INPUT. I'M GOING TO LET THIS ONE STEEP FOR A DAY OR SO:

ALSO: SINCE MUSIC IS SUCH A POWERFUL HISTORICAL RECORD, AS WELL AS EXPRESSION OF THE ARTISTS:

HOW MANY SONGS CAN YOU NAME WITH "TIME" IN THE TITLE or CONCEPT ?

Here are 4 only, for starters. Since I don't get many visits or comments, (NO COMPLAINTS-IT'S NOT ABOUT THE NUMBERS)....... BUT IF YOU DO STOP BY: at least THINK about THESE LAST FEW POSTS & COMMENTS, and or, send someone by to contribute: if they have the time!

1. TIME: PINK FLOYD
2. STONES, (WE HAVE BEEN ON A STONES ROLL-(HA HA) LATELY-- TIME, IS ON MY SIDE.
3. IF I COULD SAVE TIME IN A BOTTLE: JIM CROCHE
4. CAT'S IN THE CRADLE: HARRY CHAPIN (POWERFUL SONG ABOUT THE PASSAGE OF TIME.)

THESE ARE JUST STARTERS- I STOPPED HERE INTENTIONALLY.... I MAY JUST GOOGLE, TIME AND SONGS AND SEE HOW MANY HITS THERE ARE!

  1. I'm sure that there must be loads of songs with "Time" related themes going around or have been around.
At the moment, though, I can only think of "If I could turn back time" by Cher!

I promise you that I will get back to you on this one!

Thanks for stopping by my place, John.... I am in a drought for writing and am afraid to rant on and on about politics. We are in Florida and waiting out Bank of America on a "short sale" on a neat house, but it's driving me nuts!

  3. Kacey,

I thoroughly enjoyed "the rant"!!!! I have never been so engaged in our Country's Politics as well as lack of Character in Business and relationships!

Look at our SC Governor, and poor Sandra Bullock. Seems nothing is sacred anymore!!!\
Please visit- and you can rant and rave anytime you want on here!!!

I'm with you! Also originally- born and raised in Plant City Fla!

I think we have a winner in the Time category!!!
    GREAT JOB mi LADY!!!!

Do you think there is any chance of getting the Health Care bill killed, or is it a done deal!

  4. kacey took all the ones that came to my mind...

Hello Time Bomb (Matthew Good - not likely you have ever heard of this)

    Closing Time (Leonard Cohen)

Closing Time - that other group - different song entirely

Sunrise Sunset (Fiddler on the Roof)

    Help - The Beatles

There's actually more buzzing around but I never know the names of songs or who did them or the tune or the words - just the idea - hard to get that down.
