I explored, then talked and laughed for 2 hours with my 25 y/o Niece, after picking her up from work. What a refreshing thing to do!

talk to our youth....

there is so much Hope and Optimism at that age......

As I ventured out tonight I was greeted by a wall of black and then a bright starry sky. On que, it seemed liked a million fireflies all started talking at once.

I am definitely getting used to the flora and fauna of NC. On the way back in I caught this in my flashlight beam.

What I belive to be a Wolf Spider with Babies. If not- someone please help ID- as I have NEVER seen this Spider in Fl or SC!!!

 OK- This is NOT a Spider, but it is a fly who was pulled down butt first BY a Spider!!!

One thing I've learned and had reinforced during this move is that every day is a gift:

SO- UNWRAP IT!

Time seems to pass so swiftly, and the one common denominator I've found in the Mountains of NC is that people don't care! About time I mean. It has stopped, and in some cases gone backwards. What a wonderful throwback to where everyone has time to stop and chat, people wave every-time you pass anyone in a car- (I have glued a rubber hand to my steering wheel and just pull a sting to raise the fingers in the Mountain Salute as you pass!) and speaking to total strangers is as natural as if they were family.

I have had to learn to reset my SC Clock to NC time and allow and extra hour or so for every errand I run! It is my kinda Place, and my kinda Pace!
