METAMUCIL & POSTING!

METAMUCIL AND POSTING:

IT'S ALL ABOUT STAYING REGULAR. AND,

I NEVER METAMUCIL I DIDN'T LIKE!

SINCE WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PACKING, AND LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME; POSTING HAS BEEN A LITTLE SPORADIC. I AM STILL READING REGULARLY- BUT NOT COMMENTING AS MUCH. BUT PLEASE DON'T LEAVE AS I PLAN TO WORK OUT A BETTER SCHEDULE....AND BLOGGING IS A LIFELINE FOR ME..

I ENJOY IT TOO MUCH TO STOP.

SC GAMECOCKS MOVE UP TO 13th FROM 24th NATIONALLY  AFTER BEATING GEORGIA!

AND NOW FOR :
POINT/COUNTERPOINT

I SAW THIS ON THE NEWS AND WOULD LIKE TO GET YOU'RE TAKE ON IT. THEY ARE SELLING A TEE SHIRT IN FL, & CA. CONCERNING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. IT SAYS THIS ON THE FRONT.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE LIKE SPERM. ONE MILLION OF YOU MOVE IN, AND ONLY ONE OF YOU BASTARDS WORK!

1. In general is this going a little to far concerning freedom of speech, and making a point?

2. Would you wear such a shirt no matter how much you agreed with it's statement, or would it offend you if you saw someone wearing one? (HAVE YOU SEEN ANY APPAREL, OR SIGNS ETC. THAT HAS OFFENDED YOU?)

3. Is it just too crude and insensitive to be worn in Public? Would you say something to that person, on ANY TOPIC if it offended you?

4. Should it be banned? Does the Government have the right to Legislate, what is tasteful or not?
(This kinda gets back to what is Porn vs. What is Art?)  Topless Beaches are accepted in many parts of the World, and yet Thongs are Banned in Myrtle Beach SC, as it is portrayed as a family environment to vacation.

( I THINK THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE MAIN POINTS CONCERNING THIS TOPIC? WHERE IS THE LINE, AND WHEN IS IT CROSSED? CAN WE REGULATE THIS AS A SOCIETY?

5. This stretches to Include Bumper Stickers, Billboards, E-mail, and just about any other media you can think of to express yourself. I have heard of several being banned from Autos due to content. One specifically was "SHI* HAPPENS! Should you be allowed to put this in a place that anyone, but especially CHILDREN can see it?

6. Please feel free to comment- or not! LOL. I just thought I'd throw this out for discussion, or at least thought for the 5 of us!

  1. Regarding the Tee shirt..yes, it is a bit crude, I would not wear it regardless of my views.

But no, it should not be banned, not in a 'free' country.

  2. The t-shirt should not be banned but I would never wear it in a million years. I refuse to wear t-shirts with any words or logos on them period (I refuse to pay to advertise for someone when they should be paying me.) That aside - everyone is entitled to their opinion to a point - in Canada we have hate laws - and I don't know where that t-shirt would fall. I would think anyone wearing it was an asshole but I would not be offended as I think it is an affected emotion and not real.

Recently, "we" celebrated our right for females to go topless in public here. There are not so many indulging in fact. I would have preferred that everyone including men be required to wear shirts in public - especially men with moobs simply because not all bodies are attractive enough to be put on display. I would not subject anyone to viewing mine unnecessarily.

I don't think banning profanity helps anything. The kids have all heard the words anyway.

  3. I don't have anything against it, but personally, I wouldn't wear it.
As someone else once said, I'm not a walking bill-board.
We have so many immigrants from all over the world living here in England that it wouldn't really matter...our government just lets them in no matter what.
I'm glad that I stay tucked away in our little town of less than 2,000 people!
Hope you find a new home soon!

  4. Sadly the boundary of free speech is pushed by the use of the inflammatory "Bastards" beyond that it is a perfectly legal statement.
Bastards would have to be litigated.

I wouldn't wear it but I would probably be of a mind to spit on the shoes of one who did. Not because I particularly am liking the undocumented alien problem (even though most Americans have no clue about how to be a field hand or a worker in a meat production factory and would whine from a sore back or the blood they had to walk through for minimum wage or X$ per bushel picked) but I just think it plays into the hands of them that own humanity and anyone who wears it is a sheep to them. They ain't worth spit.

Yeah I see shit on people that offends me all the time but if they are not actively engaged in putting a smack down on someone physically I ain't getting involved in trying to tell them they are wrong. enslaved by someone else's thinking and just as poor as the guy who swam the river and crossed the desert.

  5. You guys just proved why I LOVE, and am PROUD to have you as "Cyber-Friends- and indeed would probably be and REMAIN friends in real life.

Thank you for not just the comments, but on the reasoning and justification behind them.

twm-, pretty much nailed an opinion of mine- that being People are taking "OUR" jobs! Oh really? And when was the last time you picked a basket of Oranges in the Florida Sun for 25- to 50 cent per basket!

It's so much easier to "Fill-out" your job hunting papers in the AC and wait for your check.

Please forgive me if you are out of work and diligently hunting for it! I did it for one full year- so I know the pain of rejected resumes and false hope interviews!!!

But the types of jobs our "Illegals" are willing to do, to live-- puts most, SOFT Americans' to shame.

    Thanks a million guys!
