THERAPY

Subject: What a woman needs

A couple goes to a counselor after 25 years of marriage.

The counselor asks them what the problem is and the wife goes
into a tirade listing every problem they have had in the 25 years of

their marriage. She goes on and on and on...

Finally, the counselor gets up, walks around the desk, embraces
the wife and kisses her passionately.

The woman shuts up and sits quietly in a daze. The counselor turns

to the husband and says, "This is what your wife needs at least
three times a week. Can you do this?"

The husband thinks for a moment and replies, "Well, I can drop
her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish."

HANKY ALERT

THE BLIND GIRL

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her
She told her boyfriend, "IIf I could only see the world, I will marry you."

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off,
she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying:
Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by
their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word -
Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has
nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's
crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life -
Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children -
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep -
Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job -
Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another -
Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down -
Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you're alive and still around.

OK OK IT's a cartoon- but I still think it's funny!!!!

TIME FOR GOD'S WORD??????

A lot of you know that I have wanted for the longest time to post a very detailed, focused and above an average or beginners Christian Small Group Learning/Teaching Experience. I am first and foremost a Christian in my walk in life and have been called a Teacher of God's Word! I know many would take exception to that by some of the things I've posted as well as language and material used on my personal blog. Oh well. That's just who I am. Honest, Growing, Learning, what you see is what you get. Imperfect and have a long way to go before I can truly call my self a Man of God!

I would like to move on into an area of Christian growth and discipleship to anyone interested and would love to have you join me on this journey. This will take many different twists turns and have many different faces from dry theological lectures to lively discussions about current events and how we as Christians are reacting to then, turning a blind eye, compromising, being hypocrites etc. We will learn about God, His attributes, His statues, His Commandments- but Most of all- WE WILL GROW CLOSER TO THE PERSON OF GOD HIMSELF!!!!! THE GIVER-- NOT THE GIFT!!!

To do this I must separate the two blogs completely. I want to continue to write for myself on Full-On Forward as a blog about my Life and Walk. I plan to do a second blog which will be stricter in the sense of a much more structured and honest attempt to teach the full truth from the work about God-(using the HOLY BIBLE)-(many Translations) & leading us Into and Understanding and a knowledge of God Himself- that we can better spend our lives discerning and doing His Word and Will to His Glory. To become better Husbands, Wife's, Children, People--better Disciples of Jesus Himself led by the Holy Spirit.

Please follow along on both if you wish or either one you like. I would love feedback as to if the two are working or if I've strayed from my true calling which is to simply journal my daily perspectives and life! Let me know- this feedback is for all of us! I think I have taken the words given to me by my early blog friends and stayed true to what I am writing about now. I don't feel the pressure to have certain numbers nor do I expect certain reactions, or an audience--I'm just writing - and it FUN!!!!!! If others learn and enjoy- YEAH!!!! like dropping by, commenting, lurking- Perfect!!!! If not- I'd be a a little put out as everyone likes to be accepted, affirmed and reaching others; but it truly doesn't define me as a Blogger now. God defines me, and after that I define myself. If I have a strong enough presence to give you the truth I've learned through the application of the Word of God and of the Life I'm living because of that Word- and If you like the way it sounds and it brings a smile to you or enlightenment and encouragement to you and yours----well AMEN!!!@!!!!

I think I'm hitting my stride in learning how far to push, what subjects work and which don't to some degree- and above all that- TO THINE OWN HEART BE TRUE AND JUST PUT IT OUT THERE!!

I'm Thinking of staying with Full-On Forward as my daily Blog as it is so much a part of me- and Starting writing the Christian- (Not so sure I even want to call it that but it will come- the WALKING WITH THE MASTER BLOG, or Walking with God, Getting to Know the King- all these will give me guidance to choose the correct one from. I'd love to have you join one or both as we branch out into a new pathway of self- discovery, love and some harsh realities about some things we may need to change and get rid of in our lives! Help me pick a name- a path! Make it yours!!!

One thing I can say without reservation. HOW! (Just kidding)....I will publish the truth of God's Word as I know it as revealed from His Spirit to ours. But I'll never tell you what you must do- or what to believe--this will be your YOUR discovery of God on your own. YOU must decide what is true from God's Word and whet er you want to follow that path or not! I merely have a few tools to help us along!!!! What do you think- is there enough interest to see if this dog'll hunt?

Give me some feedback- contact some other bloggers and see if they might like to swing by as we get it going. If it's good enough- they'll stay for the truth!!

Love to you all

John McELveen

Any and all suggestions welcome and needed!! I'm not thin skinned either. Be honest as I know you will! We will probably start this right after the first of Labor day and as soon s I see what my school schedule will be, if there is enough interest!

Love in Christ- Be praying and plowing the ground to get our hearts and minds ready for God's Truth!!!!

Love In Christ!

John McELveen

THE FRUIT DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE?

I wonder where a lot of these FOLK TALE type e-mails and myths really get their origin. Did it come from the lost art of Entertainment mixed with superstion being passed on from family to family by thier own FAMILY "STORYTELLER" around the campfire? Some are crocs- some are cool.

WHAT TREE DID YOU FALL FROM?
Find your birthday and then find your tree. This is really cool
and somewhat accurate, also in line with Celtic astrology. I personally don't believe in Astology- dodn't get me wrong- there are a lot of generalizations and truisms in certain "types" of people, but I don't use it to live my life by! I happen to be a Popular Tree.

But what if I wasn't so Poular? Would I branch out, take up root in a certain area. Go out on a limb for success? Leaf it to me to bark up the wrong tree altogether and Pine away. OK OK- I'm sorry- that's enough without handing out Phenergan or Zofran!!

TWO MOONS!!!!!!! SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Two moons

Two moons on August 27th.

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye.

This will culminate on Aug. 27th when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 at 12:30 am .

It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME....IS STILL.... I FORGET

"THANKS FOR THE MAMMORIES"

After dinner two elderly women retire to the kitchen and leave their husbands to chat. One of the men says, "Last night we went out to a great new restaurant."

The other asks, "What's it called?"

The first man knits his brow in concentration and finally says, "Ah, what is the name of that red flower you give to someone you love?"

His friend replies, "A carnation?"

"No, no. The other one," the first man says.

"The camellia?" wonders his friend.

"No,"growls the man. "You know, the one with thorns!"

"Do you mean a rose?" asks the other man.

"Yes, that's it!" the first man says. He then turns toward the kitchen and yells, "Rose, what's the name of the restaurant we went to last night?"

THE DRYING UP of a POND

See How Much Dryer in one Day? This is the same pipe that is shown below on Monday around 5:00 pm and this is Tuesday around the same time. The whole pond literally shrank about 8 inches to 1 foot in depth and shoreline-that is a lot!!

Me- HOT! Not Me I'm Hot- But Me it's Hot so I'm hot too- like it's 102 about now! What's wrong with this picture?

My butt is in it- I should be on a couch inside!!! Rehab- you know

We have set a new record in SC of 13 days over 100 degrees. I worked the year the Old record was set back in 1983 with Richland County EMS. We had multiple multiple Heat related deaths that summer with some core temps reaching 109-114. Not compatible with Life- duh! We need rain! And the poor Mid-West with the Floods. My prayers go out to you.

I praise God I have an inside job with an Air-conditioned Urgent Care where we can easily treat the heat related illnesses. It is amazing but work goes on. Can you imaging Roofing- in this weather. Or Working on Asphalt? Or just working outside period. My hat's off to all you who provide for your families and also for those of you without Air-Conditioning.

Well- we have this little pond down the dirt road from our house and it is shrinking by several feet- if not 10- inches minimum per day. During my rehab I have been going down there and taking pics of the little water snakes, and also two pretty good sized Black Snakes that I happened to get on my little camera's video adapter dealy. I'm trying to learn to post some of those but I need some better pictures first.

Here are several of the Little water snakes that just poke their heads up to breathe and sink quietly back to the moss covered bottom. I'll see if I can't get a distant pic of the black snake.

BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!!

BACK TO WORK AFTER MY LITTLE HEART CATH STENT THINGY.

Boy it's gonna be hard not watching Days Of Our Lives with Passion not Going to General Hospital to spend Summers with All my Children In Santa Barbara! Well as the World Turns so turns the Bold and the Beautiful and as for Sex in the City- well just keep an eye out for Queer eye for the Straight Guy!

Pretty easy shift since I only worked from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm and got to walk out at closing time. I called back and they were still there with an avbdominal pain that walked in at 9:55 (vomiting all day) and a regular with Abdominal Pain who has had more Abdominal Ct's(all negative- Dilaudid preferred please!) than Shamu when he swallowed Siegfried- or was it Roy??

Oh, I'm not so sure I want to return to full time. I'll be changing from 3 12's to 4-8.5's as my Cardiologist thinks this may be easier on me! And it may be...we'll see.
I'm very thankful I have a job to go to and a Boss that will work with me schedule wise. But it sure didn't take long to realize the same ol same ol that comes through the door! I literally saw 7--Seven---7 regulars while I was there on a random night for 5 hours!!!!!

Anyhoo- great to be back at work and I thank God for Cardiologists, Stents, Regulars' who pay the bills- and BLOG's and especially my cyber friends like you who help keep me sane by allowing me to sound this out in a medium where it hopefully doesn't do any harm. I know my wife sure appreciates not hearing it!!!

Love to you all,

John

A MIRACLE FOR YOU!

This is a Thomas Kinkade painting. It's rumored to carry a miracle! The water is supposed to be running, so if it's not moving then the picture didn't come through entirely.

They say if you pass this on, you will receive a miracle. I am passing this on because I thought it was really pretty, and besides, who couldn't use a miracle?!

PRAYER- DO WE NEED IT IN SCHOOLS????

After being interviewed by the school administration, the
teaching prospect said, "Let me see if I've got this right:
"You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning.
"You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.
"You Want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job.
"You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, and make sure that they all pass the state exams.
"You want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.
"You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.
"You want me to do all this and then you tell me...

"I CAN'T PRAY?"

HELLO EVERYONE! COMPUTER ISSUES AGAIN

REFORMATTED COMPUTER AND THIS TIME I THINK I HAVE IT THE WAY IT NEEDS TO BE! I TOTALLY LOST MY BLOG PAGE FORMAT- I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO IT- SO I WILL BE SLOWLY WORKING ON THAT AS I ALSO SLOWLY WORK MY WAY BACK INTO WORK TUESDAY!

I ALSO STILL DO NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONING BRAIN AS I HAVE BEEN YELLING AT YOU WITH CAPS LOCK ON THIS WHOLE TIME.

Just goes to show Oh we can not type and no longer say ni!!! should be locked in a separate room.

In honor of Mrs. Scarlet I found an ancient pic of a bunch of us Paramedics, White Water Rafting down the Chatooga- (Where they filmed Deliverance) If it sounds familiar it is where Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty got mo-LESTED by the Bubba twins- the crazy boy with no teeth and the banjo!! dud dud duh duh duh duh duh duhn-dud duh duh duh dun....dun dun dun dun dun dun---enter Pig- duh duh duh dun-
exit pig with smile on face!

Scarlet to give you some perspecive-that is me in the left front corner of the raft- about to go under- and yes I did leave the boat and came out from underneath it and popped back into the boat where the guide was when his end of the boat hit where I went under. Out the front of the boat and right back in- in literally 5-7 seconds!!!!- the guide Joey who is semi- standing left rear of boat- is about 12 feet above my head at that point!!!! Yeah- it was a Class 5...and that's as big as they get they tell me. You couldn't pull a 24 ga Jelco out of my ass with a TRACTOR at that point!!! I got out and ws carrying the raft in the Crack o my ass it was that tight!!! LOL.

Well, will keep everyone informed....off to check some blogs- I may be a little slow to post this week so keep a checking in on me.

Love to all uns,

John

SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!

An old man, Mr. Goldstein, was living the last of his life in a nursing
home.

One day he appeared to be very sad and depressed.

Nurse Tracy asked if there was anything wrong.

"Yes, Nurse Tracy," said Mr. Goldstein,

"My Private Part died today, and I am very sad."

Knowing her patients were forgetful and sometimes a little crazy she
replied, "Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Goldstein, please accept my
Condolences."

The following day, Mr. Goldstein was walking down the hall with his
Private Part hanging out of his pajamas, when he met Nurse Tracy.

"Mr. Goldstein," she said, "You shouldn't be walking down the hall
like that. Please put your Private Part back inside your Pajamas."

But, Nurse Tracy," replied Mr. Goldstein, " I told
you yesterday that my private part died

"Yes, you did tell me that, but why is it hanging out of your
pajamas?"

(You gotta love this!!!!!!!!!!!)

"Well," he replied, "Today is the viewing."

YOU THINK YOUR DAY IS GOING BADLY????

SORRY- DON'T KNOW HOW THAT SPIDER GOT THERE!
